Sorry for giving too little notice last time for this one - because no one was able to sign up as a definite yes, and I know that lots of people will want to see this one, I decided to push it back a week. Let's see if we can make it happen for this Saturday.

Young@Heart looks like a feel-good movie that's too heartwarming to miss!

Here's the synopsis:
Prepare to be entertained by the inspiring individuals of 'Young@Heart,' a New England senior citizens chorus that has delighted audiences worldwide with their covers of songs by everyone from The Clash to Coldplay. As Stephen Walker's documentary begins, the retirees, led by their strict musical director, are rehearsing their new show, struggling with a discordant Sonic Youth number and giving new meaning to James Brown's "I Feel Good." What ultimately emerges is a funny and unexpectedly moving testament to the simple things these seniors value: old friendships, new challenges and a little time in the spotlight.

Check out the trailer.

Showtime is 8:05pm.
No online ticketing available.
Tickets can be bought at the theater.

I'll be in the lobby from 7:35-7:50pm holding a sign that says, "Meetup."

Looking forward to seeing you there!!

Was a really inspiring film. Too many of our elders become couch potatoes. The people in this film had enjoyable singing interests and friends and gave them a much more fulfilling life in their golden yshttp://static4.meetupstatic.... I also liked the music , very uplifting !!

    •  What a beautiful film! The energy and enthusiasm - the zest for life - of these folks in their "Golden Years" is very inspiring!! I also loved the music videos that were interspersed throughout the film. Very cool. They would probably be a bit hit on MTV or YouTube.
